The Unity movement was founded in 1898 by Myrtle and Charles Filmore as a healing ministry based on the power of prayer - and the power of our own thoughts to create our experiences.Since 2002, Unity of East Louisville has created a dynamic spiritual community based on: affirmative prayer; spiritual teachings that empower abundant and meaningful living; unconditional love and acceptance in a community of like-minded people; and inner peace through a stronger connection to God.

Unity has no man-made creed or dogma. Rather, we seek to find the Truth in Scripture and meaning beyond the literal translation. Unity proclaims the divinity of Jesus, but goes further in belief that we, as children of God, too, are divine in nature. Unity provides practical teachings to help people live healthy, prosperous and meaningful lives. Unity is “A Positive Path for Spiritual Living.”
